Pagoda of the Baolun Temple

www.chinanews.cn 2005-07-20 15:01:51

A visitor struck the rock before the pagoda and listened to the echo
resembling the croaking of frogs on July 19, 2005. Echoes at the pagoda
of the 800-year-old Baolun Temple are not so loud and sonorous as before.
It reopened to flocks of visitors after repair. This pagoda in Henan's
Shaanxian County, the Echo Wall in Beijing's Temple of Heaven, the stone
musical instrument in Sichuan's Tongnan and the Yingying Pagoda in
Shanxi's Yongji are China's four echo buildings.
