Shanxi held sacrifice festival for god of the land

The sixth "Shanxi merchants' god of the land sacrifice festival" was in
hot progress starting from Feb. 5. This festival originated from the
rural theatrical performances given in honor of the god of the land in
ancient villages as well as from entertaining performances on the lantern
festival during the Spring Festival. This sacrifice festival opened on
Jan. 17 and will last till Feb. 15.
